A little, a few; there is / are + кількість
Небагато, але є: a little — з незлічуваним, a few — зі злічуваним у множині. Без a слова little і few означають «мало».

There's a little beef.Є трохи яловичини.
There's little chicken.Курки мало.
There are a few eggs.Є кілька яєць.
There are few eggs.Яєць мало.
Без a — це вже скарга: не вистачає.
