Прийменники руху: along, across, over, through…

Прийменник після go, walk, run, climb показує шлях: уздовж, через, крізь, повз, усередину чи назовні. Українське «через» — три різні слова.

acrossповерхнею на інший бік: across the road, across the river
overчерез верх перешкоди: climb over the wall, over the fence
throughкрізь, усередині чогось: through the tunnel, through the forest

Міст — і over, і across. У тексті: went over the bridge, ran back across the bridge.

Уздовж, повз, у бік, усередину, назовні

pastповз, не заходячи: walk past the church

назад зі скарбом

She ran out of the garden, back across the bridge and into the post office.Вона вибігла із саду, перебігла назад через міст і забігла на пошту.

into

in — де: the clue is in her pocket. into — куди, рух усередину: she ran into the post office. Але після put годяться обидва: put it in / into the box.

Go through the road.
Go across the road.
The dog jumped across the fence.
The dog jumped over the fence.

Дорогу перетинають поверхнею — across; паркан долають зверху — over.
